Some have difficulties in communicating or awareness of emotions. Our social robot Felix supports emotionally and teach social skills. It helps improving quality of life.
Felix helps to express feelings. Users can turn Felix into a colour that represents an emotion. So a user can show emotions by colours and eyes.
For example: blue = sad. Expressing your emotions with colours works intuitively. Felix has no mouth, so he doesn’t use words, doesn’t ask difficult questions and doesn’t judge. So you are definitely willing to use him, because he is so nice!
Users can enter their feelings by pressing Felix on his head. As a result, Felix gives a wink, and the input will be transferred to our online platform, where you can find an ‘emotional calendar’.
Professionals (like care-givers) can see this online data and use it to get insights in a users emotional situation: what causes emotions? Are there patterns you can recognize etc..
With Felix, users will be able to communicate more and better about their emotions, and by doing so, they will have better social interaction and quality of life. So it helps inclusion.
